They're cool and all, but 1) I have no iphone, and 2) my students are not allowed to use phones in school (nor would I want to open that can of worms), and 3) ipads are out of my budget. Most new technology is just too much trouble to really be useful. For example, our new online gradebook that parents still can't access (after a year and a half) and that our administration doesn't consistently use, so that we basically have to keep two sets of records, one on paper, and one online. Urgh. Plus there's no tech person on campus to save us when things go terribly, horribly wrong. Ummmm, paper and pencil please?<br /><br />But I'm with you on the loss of a cheery coworker.
